Who We Are We are a group for FotoManipulators of all skill levels. We accept members from beginner to advanced
and everything in between.
This means that we
do not accept photography,
traditional art, OCs or fan art.
Only FotoManipulationz.
We are not just another group to submit your art to.
More advanced members should offer constructive advice
to artists of a lower skill level on how to improve their work.
After all, its why we are here, to learn and improve.
How To Become A Member Click The Join Button!
You must have a minimum of 6 FotoManipulationz in your gallery.
What is a FotoManipulation?A proper manip is a minimum of 3 photos or stock items
cut out & blended together to make an entirely new piece of art.
How to remain a memberYou remain a member by being
active and supportive.
3 months or more of inactivity may result in
your being removed from the group.
We want our group to be both active & supportive.
Being "An active member" means that
you are submitting your art on a regular basis. Every few months we go through the member logs
& remove inactive members.
We are not about quantity, but lean more towards quality!
We understand that sometimes real life gets in the way.
If you have some life changing event going on that will keep
you away for a while, inform us via note.
Not doing so may result in your being removed from the group.
However you may return at anytime, once you are sure that
you will be able to take an active part again.
If you have been removed, this is probably why!Being
"Supportive" means that you comment
on other member's submissions with words of
encouragement and or constructive comments. You don't get something for nothing.
Keep your message center open to our gallery
submissions & blog posts. We are all here to learn
and improve. That is very hard to do when your
discouraged because no one leaves a word of encouragement
on your artwork, or bothers to offer advice.
Even a comment such as "great job" can be
uplifting to a new artist! We have all been there.
Do the right thing & show some kindness to
a fellow human being. If you see a mistake that
you know how to fix, tell them how to do it!
Its how we learn. Even if they don't correct it on
that piece, they will remember your advice for
next time. You could even suggest a tutorial.
In a nutshell, we are all here to help each other.
Take the time to make the occasional comment
on the submissions that come through.
Make someones day a little brighter.
Submitting Your Art Even though we are a group for all levels, we only
want to see what you consider to be
Your Best Work. What Types of Manips Are Appropriate? We love all genre of manipulation. However we
do have our limits. Here are some topics we felt
we needed to comment on....
Artistic Nudity ~ We have no problem with artistic
nudity or the human form. Our admin have the right
to refuse any art of this genre we deem inappropriate.
Just use common sense. If it looks like soft core porn,
it will not be accepted.
Dark Art ~ We love dark art! There is a huge
difference between dark and horror.
Small amounts of blood are fine.
If it looks like Freddy was there, no.
We don't want your entire gallery! We want you to submit
what you consider your personal best. We can not help
you improve with constructive comments if you load us
down with 6 deviations at a time. Therefore, you will
only be able to submit 2 deviations per week.
Please make sure that all credits are properly given!
If we have to decline your work due to bad links or no credits,
that counts as one of your 2 weekly submissions!
For more information on proper crediting,
scroll down to the heading "Proper Crediting"
Proper Crediting Any stock used in your work must be credited! This is a copyright compliant group.
DA stock must be at least credited to the original stock source.
When we say links, we mean links to the actual image used. Which means, do not simply post a link to the stock holders main page, your work will be denied. You need to post the link to the direct image. If you use an outside stock site, same rule applies. You must provide a link to the image used, not the main website. Your admin staff here, check each and every link, and if it is a site they do not recognize, I research it and the image in question to make sure it can be used in photo-manipulations. SO, make sure they are correct.
When Using Premade BackgroundsThe artist of the premade must ALSO have credited all stock
they used in the creation of the premade and the stock must be
valid for us to accept any artwork that use a premade!
Offsite Stock Must have a direct link to the stock used.
I don't want to have to open an account to view the stock.
If I cant click the link & see that it is actual stock that may
be used in this manner, your work will be declined.
For those of you who have been here for a while, you know we are not heavy on the quality of work as we accept lots of new, beginner and intermediate artists as well as advanced artists. The new and beginner artists, their works may not be exceptional or technically advanced, as of yet, it is why they are beginners, they are learning. We encourage them and help them improve. Beginner artists can sometimes feel intimidated and unsure of their works, afraid to submit to groups because of their skill level. You all know that here, we accept them all and here, we will support and encourage them not to give up.
That is the basis of this group, for all of our artists, who work hard on their ideas, their concepts and to improve their skills, they are all welcome here and forever will be. We try to feature all of our members in our monthly features, because we feel that that features should not be just for the exceptional works, they should be for everyone. We are a group, granted not a huge group with a ton of members, but we are a group. Together, we help each other out, we inspire each other, and we appreciate all of our members works.
Each member here had been picked and chosen to be part of this group for a reason. You have shown your support and your encouragement to other artists here at DA, you are the type of artists we want here. You have to remember, everyone was a beginner at one point. So when we do our features, we do so to support all of our members, every single one is important to us and we value their time and their effort. We want to help them grow and see them all succeed, so please, comment on their works, show them some love, help them if they ask, and always be an active and supportive member of the group.
If you have any questions, at all, please send a group note to any of your admin staff here and we will gladly help.
Please remember that this is part of a
larger Deviant Art Community.
While we love viewing your work, we also
want to be supportive of our Deviant stock artists.
They work very hard to provide you with
the best resources at their disposal.
Work submitted to our group may use
only 1/3 offsite resources.
The other 2/3 must be from the excellent
stock found on site.REMEMBER:thumb180929521:
